I was very excited to have the opportunity to work for Mattel in their Barbie “empire.” My daughter Mary has always enjoyed Barbie, so she was just as excited as I was when I got the call to work on this project. The main goal of this project was to explore some new directions with Barbie and to update her look for their publications. I cannot get into too much detail as to the exact nature of the work, but I can at least show you the paintings.
Now I know what you are thinking…”He got to work for Barbie?” The answer, believe it or not, is “yes”. In fact, Barbie is a great company for which to work, as they are kind and very professional. They really do have something amazing going on with Barbie and there is a reason it has been around for so many years. It was my pleasure to work with them and I hope to again in the future.
